A ton of small new labels have started over the past few years and still new ones pop up until this day. Last week I reviewed the first EP released by Vinyl 4 Bootboys (The Pillage) and now this week I received the debut EP from German label Rock ‘n’ Roll Blitzkrieg Records who had the honor to release the latest tracks by British Oi! sensation The London Diehards and The East End Badoes.

Altough the Badoes have been around longer than the Diehards I must admit I never heard a single song of them prior to this split EP while I had my fair share of Diehards over the past few years. I don’t know if it has always been, but both bands share the same singer, Tel, and I personally think he has an awesome voice so needless to say I directly liked the Badoes side of this split EP as well.

Also because the sound of both bands are quite simulair, no problem if you deliver some proper Oi! music which both bands do. Diehards deliver two hard hitting tunes with pretty direct lyrics, “I’ll never be a nazi and I’ll never be a red, for some that’s just too hard to get into their heads” from the track “Sell Out” says it all while the second song “Sex Case” against sexual predators and everyone who supports them. The Badoes on the other hand deliver a mid-tempo tribute to all dock workers in their track “Where Have All The Dockers Gone?”. Good stuff!

Just like most small labels this EP comes in a small handnumbered run with 100 black and 200 red vinyls being pressed and it looks great for a first release. You know you want it, so if you haven’t got your copy ordered yet I suggest you do so… now at http://rnrblitzkrieg.bigcartel.com/!
