Twenty years ago Abriendo Cabezas released their first effort, a CD-r entitled “La Capacidad De Pensar”, and for two decades it was also their only release... Until now that is! Because beside a proper vinyl reissue of the aforementioned album, the boys from Valencia (Spain) also released an all new EP for Tough Ain’t Enough Records – “Sempre Endavant”!

 

Well, new... Apparently the four songs on this slab of wax are old ones that have been re-recorded, although I can’t verify that they’ve actually been released in the past or not. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter – they are here now and they sound great!

 

With an average of nearly four minutes per song, Abriendo Cabezas delivers some long, yet hard-hitting skinhead rock anthems on this comeback EP! The length of the songs offers enough room for tempo changes, while the hard rockin’ guitars and killer vocals give “Sempre Endavant” that hostile, combative sound that I love! Favorites are “La Força De La Rao” and title-track “Sempre Endavant”.

 

Just like most of Tough Ain’t Enough Records’, this 7” is limited to just 250 copies and all of them are on black vinyl. Recommended for fans of Hetairoi, Asedio and Strike Back!
