Bart And The Brats – S/T

No Front Teeth Records/Big Neck Records

Bart The Brat is back! Only twelve months after 2021’s debut year – in which Bart And The Brats released both “Dogged” on 10” and “Livin’ In The Future” on 7” - the musical genius from La Rochelle is at it again with yet another full-length and yet another punk-rock scorcher!

Released on a LP this time around, Bart De Vraantwijk (The Janitors, Teenage Hearts, Wild Zeros) cranks out a dozen wild and roaring tracks of which one is a killer cover of Misfits’ “Static Age”, while the remaining eleven are self-written rabble rousers coming at you at 45 revolutions per minute! Because despite that No Front Teeth (UK) and Big Neck Records (USA) released Bart And The Brats’ sophomore album on 12” vinyl, it clocks in just under the 23-minute mark, so you know it will be jammed with short, fast-paced thrills from front to back!

But you know what? You’ll love every single second of it – I know I do! Straight from the opening track “Trash Talk” (which ironically is an instrumental song) Bart grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go until the final chords of “A Boss Is A Boss” (ain’t that the truth) fade away, only to make you flip the vinyl over again! This is punk-rock extravaganza from start to finish and of songs like “Your Face”, “Records I Used To Hate”, “Constant Nonsense”, “Mental Case”, “Fun Facts” and “Stones & Sticks” (that organ though!) you’ll never get enough!

Therefor Bart And The Brats’ self-titled sophomore album is an absolute no-brainer for fans of Bart The Brat’s previous work with The Brats or the majority of the bands he is – or was – involved in! Killer!
