Wow, since I’m not Italian “Finche’ C’e’ Birra C’e’ Speranza” is one of the worst album titles I had to type out in a while. Tough luck for my fingers, because my ears get a far more gentle treatment with Brutti E Ignoranti’s second album!

Rebellion Records have the honor to release the follow up to their debut album “Alla Faccia Vostra” released by Pull The Trigger Records back in 2009 and released as a 10” in 2011 album by Shout Proud Records. Now it’s Rebellion’s turn to release 11 brand new tracks by this up and coming Italian skinhead band on both limited CD and vinyl.

I say up and coming, because the band hasn’t been around for that long, but in such short amount of time they already turned into one of my favorite Italian out there and can easily be named in the same sentence with Italian classics such as Nabat, Plastic Surgery and Klasse Kriminale. Though musically I hear a lot of resemblance with a band such as The Bruisers, Brutti E Ignoranti has that heavy Oi! sound with a rockin’ edge that reminds me of these American legends, minus the native tongue obviously, because every single song on this album is in Italian.

Though 2013 has a few more months to go “Finche’ C’e’ Birra C’e’ Speranza” can easily become one of my favorite albums of this year! On top of that both the CD and LP version have the 3 tracks previously released on the “Il Gossip Della Morta” EP as well. The title means something like “if there’s beer, there’s hope”, but as long as Brutti E Ignoranti is around there’s hope as well! Fantastic!
