Bullshit Detectör - Bullshit EP

Late last year the all-new, Texan outfit Bullshit Detectör already gave a taste of things to come with a two-track promo of their pro-freedom, anti-bullshit hardcore rock ‘n’ roll through their Bandcamp page. Now, only several months later, the first feat of arms of this band - featuring (ex-)members of Smärt Boyz, Lower Class Brats, Ironhead Division and more - is a fact, with the “Bullshit” cassette EP for Clockwork Punk (Russia) and HoM Records (Canada)!

 

Besides the “Bullshit Intro”, the tape features three more songs - namely “Hero Only In Your Mind”, “Shit-Sandwich” and “Human Trash/Human Plague”. Unfortunately only the latter wasn’t part of the aforementioned promo, but it feels damn good to have these tracks in hand through a physical release, because this band rips (bull)shit up!

 

With a mean, rough and rowdy sound, these Lone Star State savages deliver some scorching, brickwall Oi! Through the clean guitars, Bullshit Detectör can easily align with bands such as The Janitors, The Veros and of course The Templars. Yet the manic vocals and short, misanthropic lyrics - “Nothing but human trash. Empires never last. Countdown to our own grave. End of the human plague.” - will make them stand out from the hordes of new bands that are coming your way - it definitely did the trick for me!

 

Now Clockwork Punk’s version (50 copies) is already out and includes a fold out lyric sheet/mini-poster with some sick artwork by Nickxtacm on the back, while Hom Records’ cassette (another 50 copies) will include a free sticker and pin and an alternative sleeve. Killer tape, so make sure you grab yourself a copy!
