East End Badoes - Let's 'Ave It!

United Against Society

When the liner-notes by bassist Dom date back to July 2015 already, you can tell there has been quite some time into the release of East End Badoes’ “Let’s ‘Ave It!” LP. While the recordings were laid down on tape nearly ten years ago, United Against Society took action and finally gave this recording session the vinyl release it deserves!

Since the nine songs on “Let’s ‘Ave It!”, plus the addition of two alternative takes of already featured tracks, were only released as a CDr-demo back in 2006, some could consider this a ‘reissue’. I beg the differ though, because in my book this is the first proper release these demo-tracks (who hardly sound like ‘demo’s’ to begin with) get! Topped off by the superb looking lay-out and ditto artwork, United Against Society served the original poplar boys well, turning “Let’s ‘Ave It!” into an incredible release!

Simply because the East End Badoes kick out anthem after anthem on this LP! Although they will never win the price for originality with songs like “Forever Proud”, “Full Of Hope”, “Gary Doesn’t Glitter”, “21st Century Football Hooligan” or “Proud To Be English”, they do exactly what you want to do: clench your fists and sing-along until your throat gets soar! Along with Terry Hayes’ vocals, one of my favorite voices in British Oi! and punk music, these herberts delivered a LP I can easily flip over and over again until the neighbors start complaining!

Only 300 copies were pressed, of which 100 copies on splatter vinyl that will most likely be sold out by the time you read this, but from the remaining 200 copies (black vinyl) there are some copies left. Easy pick-up if you ask me, so ‘ave it!
