Those who ever caught Evil Conduct live know that their shows are usually one big sing-along fiesta. The simplicity, yet extremely catchy songs have you singing along within seconds and even if you never heard a song of them it usually takes one chorus before you can party along with the rest of the crowd. Now this long-lasting Du...tch Oi! band tried to capture this atmosphere and energy on their first ever live album “Live At Wild At Heart”, question is of course if they managed to do so.

I must admit I was a bit sceptic at first when I heard about a live CD by the Ramones of (Dutch) Oi! music, because a live album is nothing more than a compilation of course and we already had one of those in 2013 (Europe) / 2014 (USA) with the release of the “16 Oi! Scorchers!” 8x7” / 2xLP sets. But I also have to admit, as soon as the first seconds of “The Voice Of Oi!” kicked in my skepticism flew out of the window and my mind entered into party-modus.

But what do you expect, with hits such as “My Skinhead Girls”, “Time For Action”, “The Way You Wanna Live”, “Working Class Heroes”, “Stuck In Berlin”, “The Way We Feel”, “Skinhead Till I Die” and “Nowhere To Go” follow each other up in no-time and got you singing along with Han and his bootboys for over 50 minutes straight. That is also the only problem I have with this CD, you can’t hear the crowd during the songs! I reckon this album would have had a real boost if you could hear all the skins and punks having fun and singing along, but unfortunately that is not the case on this CD that is perfectly in balance for the rest production-wise.

This CD also contains the last recordings that feature ex-drummer and Evil Conduct co-founder ‘Oi! The Aggroman’ Ray, but furthermore there are no surprises on “Live At Wild At Heart”, nür hits! Live, loud, punk and proud!
