Fearless Veterans/Ofensiva – Split EP
Common People Records/Tough Ain’t Enough/Crom Records/Laketown Records/Oi! Fin Del Mundo Records/Bar Crew Records/Radikal 1977 Records
Two bands, four songs and eight labels equals one killer split EP! That is the result of the Madrilenian and Catalonian connection between Fearless Veterans and Ofensiva and their most recent split EP for Common People Records, Tough Ain’t Enough, Crom Records, Laketown Records, Oi! Fin Del Mundo Records, Bar Crew Records and – breathes – Radikal 1977 Records!
First up is Fearless Veterans from Madrid. Formed in 2018 the band debuted three years later with a hard-hitting EP for Crom Records, Radikal 1977 Records and Clockwork Punk and now the fearless trio is back for more! With one track in English (“Remember”) and one track in Spanish (“Contrarevolucionarios”) the band delivers two new anthems who come rolling out of your speakers like a freight train! Hard, explosive and in your face – just the way I like it!
When you flip the 7” over you’ll find Ofensiva from Barcelona on side B. Although the band – featuring members of Asedio, Enfermeria De Difuntos and Rebel Minds – formed a year later than Fearless Veterans, this split is already the band’s fourth release and it rips! Ofensiva’s sound is a bit rawer, but nonetheless “Resplandor” and “La Soga” are pure fire and two boisterous anthems to boot – love it!
Now the eight labels pressed a total of 630 copies of this excellent split EP, so it shouldn’t be a problem finding one of these bad boys! But keep in mind that only 210 copies were pressed on limited blue vinyl (matching the artwork), while the rest of the copies are on black vinyl. Either way a must if you like your Oi! powerful and Mediterranean!
