Despite kicking ass for the working class since 1984, “Ultras Rock ‘N’ Roll” is only the second full-length Ghetto 84 has ever put out! Following up 1995’s “...A Denti Stretti!” (originally released on CD by Gridalo Forte Records and issued on vinyl in 2014 through Hellnation), Ghetto 84’s latest full-length for Anfibio Records is a scorcher - making you wish this band had released far more records!

 

Mixing Oi! and streetpunk with Italian and English lyrics, the classic outfit cranks out ten new, fierce tunes for all you skins, punks and hooligans out there! Packed with a rock ‘n’ roll punch, the Ultras from Bologna deliver one catchy tune after another, filled with great melodies and sing-along choruses easy to pick up - even if your Italian is a bit rusty!

 

From the mid-tempo sing-along “We Don’t Care” to the fast-paced streetpunk attack “Kick Ass For The Working Class” - the two tracks on “Ultras Rock ‘N’ Roll” that are fully in English - Ghetto 84 gives it all with excellent tracks such as “Fuori Controllo”, “Fanculo Te E Il Tuo Voucher”, “Una Per I Kids, Una Ai Vecchi Bastardi” and the acoustic “Oi!, Che Fatica” - great stuff!

 

Already released in the Spring of 2019, Ghetto 84 meanwhile released a split 7” with Klasse Kriminale (on Skinhead Sounds!), a limited edition box-set (“Perle Ai Porci” on Anfibio Records) and they were also featured with an all new track on the “Caos In Italia” compilation. This doesn’t change the fact that “Ultras Rock ‘N’ Roll” is a great Italian punk record that deserves some of your attention - and hopefully this review helped to accomplish that. Kick ass!
