Gimp Fist from Britain seem to be a very productive band. The band started out in 2006 and already got a ton of releases on their name. Last year Sunny Bastards already released their latest full-length album “Marching On And On” and we are barely in 2014 and yet another Gimp Fist released rolled off the presses, this time it’s the “War On The Streets” maxi-EP in the “Super Sound Single Collection”.

 

If you’re a fan of Gimp Fist you might recognize the title of this EP because it was also a track of Gimp Fist’s first ‘real’ CD called “One Tribe”. And not only do you might recognize “War On The Streets”, but also the track “Another Country” which is also from the “One Tribe” album. “One Tribe” was released in 2007 and obviously it’s 2014 now, so on this 12” you find these two oldies but goodies re-recorded along with “The Price You Pay”, which is a brand new track as far as my knowledge goes.

 

I personally don’t mind that this EP mainly contains re-recorded songs. Back in ’07 these tracks were okay, but with these old songs in a new jacket you can really hear how much Gimp Fist’s sound have grown over the years and how good these tracks have turned out. Real catchy British Oi! music that has got you singing along in no-time, I like it! Top notch 12”!
