Glory Days - Demo

Self-released

Glory Days is still a rather new Oi! band from the cold city streets of Warsaw, Poland. Earlier this year the band recorded four tracks that they self-released on a cassette limited to just 70 copies last summer. Thanks to the wonderful world of magic, one of these cassettes reached my mailbox a day or two ago, probably with the intention of me writing a review about it…

Upfront I didn’t really know what to expect of Glory Days’ demo tape. Hardcore? Bruce Springsteen (I fuckin’ love that song) worship? Or something else after all? Turned out to be the last option, because these glory boys bring you a raw and authentic sounding mix of American, French and British Oi! music with small hints of streetpunk, surprising me in a very positive way! “Reality Check”, “Glory Days”, “The Line” and “Out Of Sight” are songs I could easily listen to all day long and seem to be heavily influenced by the likes of Forced Reality, Condemned 84, Snix, The Templars and so on.

If you got a few Polish zloty (the nations’ currency) laying around somewhere, got a tape deck and like to be surprised by this upcoming band, don’t hesitate! If you don’t have any zloty left and you threw your cassette deck in the garbage as soon as it turned 1990 you can always check out Glory Days’ Bandcamp page! Good stuff!
