HETS – S/T EP

Switchlight Records / Kjell Hell Records / Club Underground Records

If you think that ABBA is Sweden’s only ‘supergroup’, you might want to guess again. Because with both ex and current members of bands such as Agent Bulldog, The Righteous, Sabotage, Lost Warning, Trench, Projekt9, Avgå! and a whole bunch of other outfits, HETS can definitely be defined as a ‘supergroup’ – yet I never got to their debut EP, released early last year (2018) through Switchlight, Kjehll Hell and Club Underground Records.

Though I posted about HETS in 2016 and 2017, it really is my own fault I never checked the band’s first – and so far only – EP out. I can’t listen or own everything that is out there, but I’m glad I, perhaps coincidentally,  received a copy of this 7” after all – simply because this is a killer slab of wax!

Now with both Robban and Arthur Lindelöw in its ranks I didn’t expect anything else though. These lads play, or played, in some of my favorite Swedish bands and if HETS carries on, they can easily be added to this list as well. This I don’t know though, but after hearing “Inte Bjudna”, “Skrot & Korn”, “Jag Har Försökt” and “Tittar På” I surely hope this wasn’t just a one-time thing, because this record rips from start to finish!

Completely sung in Swedish – just the way I like it – this four-piece unleashes one hit after another, with a sound the fans of Scandic Oi! and punk will love! So if you – just like me – haven’t gotten to this EP yet, the time is now, because there are still some copies left of the 300 pressed!
