Lion’s Law – Faceless Victim

Just before the full length of this French band was released, Pretty Shitty Town Records treated us to these two songs, which are not on the album.

 

The A-side, “Faceless Victim”, is done together with Lars Frederiksen, who we all know from Rancid, Old Firm Casuals etc. This song fits perfect with the older work of Lion’s Law. It starts with a great catchy opening riff and it’s cool to hear how good Victor’s melodic and Lars more punky/raw voice combine on this song.

 

 “Can’t Stop” on the B-side has a bit more of a rock ’n’ roll vibe to it I think. It fits more with the songs of the new album. The song is pushed forward by the guitar riffs and drums, with some mean sounding guitar lines in it.

 

Cool 7”, however I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was out a few months earlier, cause I’ve been blown away by their new album too much a few weeks ago.
