It’s been three years since Midnight Tattoo released their last recordings in the form of the “Trouble Bound” LP, but the Belgian streetpunk heroes back! This time around it’s ‘just’ a two-song single, but the boys from Antwerp definitely deliver quantity of quality with these new tracks for Contra Records!

 

Sure, “Home Sweet Home” and “Street Punk Heroes” are not in the running for the most original song-titles of 2022, but nonetheless they’re definitely Midnight Tattoo’s best work to date! Even compared to the aforementioned full-length from 2019 the sound of this trio has massively improved, making these two songs strong, boisterous anthems that definitely taste like more!

 

Because where previous releases had more of an Oi! influenced streetpunk sound to it – in my book – this new single is undoubtedly the other way around. It gives the band a real boost, making sure these bass driven tracks are delivered with pure power from start to finish, sounding somewhat of a mix between early Booze & Glory and Sniper 66! I like it!

 

Only 300 copies were pressed, so you street punk heroes know what to do!
