Coming out of New Jersey is the brand new, hardcore and punk influenced, Oi! band No Parole. These Jersey bootboys just released their first demo through their Bandcamp page and to be honest, that is all the info I have at the moment! So let’s cut the chit-chat and go straight to the review!
No Parole presents themselves with four raw, uncompromising tracks on their untitled debut demo. The recordings are rough, the sound is tough and the vocals are gruff, just the way I like it! With not a single song on this demo passing the two minute mark, No Parole’s sound is pretty straight forward, has a good pace to it with crunchy guitars and I just love those little guitar solo’s in tracks like “Should Think Twice” and “Just Gets Worse”.
The demo itself seems to be a little raw to be thrown straight on vinyl (though I could be wrong of course), but it makes a killer demo-cassette for fans of similar bands like No Time, Thug Boots and Crown Court!
