Noi!se – Mass Apathy

Pirates Press Records

If you make it easy for me and don’t count the remastered reissue of “The Scars We Hide” (from earlier this year), it has actually been a while since Noi!se released a new record. But I obviously wouldn’t be writing this if the wait for some new Noi!se wasn’t over, because it fortunately is. The inspiration for “Mass Apathy” is far less fortunate though…

In a response to the recent barrage of public shootings and gun violence, especially involving innocent and vulnerable school children, Noi!se recorded “Mass Apathy” – a furious outburst that captures all of the band’s frustration on this subject in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Without a doubt the band’s angriest song – lyrics, vocals and music – to date and by all means, justified. Because when is enough really enough? In reality it all seems awfully far away at this point...

Therefor Noi!se and Pirates Press Records will donate all proceeds of this record to several charities, dedicated to making children’s lives safer in America. “Mass Apathy” is not just a statement through words and music, but through direct action as well. Praiseworthy, but above all – necessary.

Besides this enraged anthem, which features guest vocals by Skinhead Rob of the Transplants, Expensive Taste and Death March, Pirates Press Records went raving mad on the pressing of “Mass Apathy” as well. Both the B-side and poly-sleeve are silkscreened, but the milled out bullets in the outer ring of the vinyl really give this release a sick look, especially when it spins at 45 revolutions per minute on your turntable – wow! A release relevant, while looking amazing. A must-have!
