Old Firm Casuals - Perry Boys

Randale Records / Oi! The Boat Records

I am reviewing the wrong way around. I already reviewed the Old Firm Casual’s smashing debut full-length “This Means War” while I didn’t wrote a single word about the EP prior to, and in support of, their album “Perry Boys”.

Whether you love, hate or anything that is in between,  the Old Firm Casuals, you most likely have heard (and seen the video) of “Perry Boys” by now. I personally believe Lars & co. released a great album with “This Means War” and in my review of this record I already wrote up what I wanted to say about the song “Perry Boys” and my opinion still stands, great track and a logical choice to release it as a single to promote the album.

The B-side however wasn’t on “This Means War” and remains exclusive for this 7”, that is until another ‘singles collection’ pops up of course. The song is called “Watford Tuxedo” and basically is your typical B-side, too good to throw away but cut from the album because it didn’t really fit in with the rest, although the sound is Old Firm Casuals through and through. Maybe less serious, and a bit more tongue in cheek than the band’s usual topics and the line “Ugly Ray Dust… Is a West Ham fan?!” made me laugh.

Cool collectable must-have for the fans released by Randale Records (250 copies, black cover) and Oi! The Boat Records (250 copies, white cover).
