Pressure 28 / The Truth – The English Connection

East End Records

I already owned the original, first press, but when you get asked to do a review on the second press you don’t say no. Not just to keep the collection complete and up to date, but also because “The English Connection” between Britain’s powerhouse Pressure 28 and Aussies’ rookies The Truth is pure dynamite!

Going at it since the early 90’s, England’s infamous Pressure 28 are still on top of their game, while no fucks are being given. Their latest anthem, “Get A Life”, is yet another scorcher for the skinheads, hooligans and punks, packed with aggro and fierce sing-alongs! If you like Oi! music, you will definitely like this jawbreaker! Never sell out!

Earlier this year The Truth released their debut EP on Longshot Music and Randale Records, but this split was their first, proper introduction to the world and they couldn’t have picked a better song to do so. “This Is The Truth” sounds like a revved up The Templars song with its clean guitars, fast pace and angry vocals and it’s an absolute killer! Melbourne bands rule o.k.!

As always, East End Records (or however they are going to call themselves for their next release – all good though!) did a fantastic job on the lay-out and together with the green marbled vinyl, this second press is a real eye catcher as well. So if you haven’t picked this up before, do so now!
