Revanche – À Jamais

2022 has been a busy year for Revanche and its label Primator Crew. Not only did the French label release four tracks of the Swizz’ 2021 demo on vinyl, they also released a brand new slab of wax altogether! Entitled “À Jamais”, the band’s sophomore (or debut, you decide) EP features four more songs and once again it’s top quality!

 

Now I didn’t expect anything else from Primator Crew and quite frankly, I didn’t expect anything else from Revanche either. Their demo was already super solid and with “À Jamais” the lads from Switzerland take it up a notch, proving that the only way is up. The result is a true powerhouse from start to finish!

 

Completely sung in French – which is always a plus of course – Revanche cranks out four anthems and they do so like there’s no tomorrow! The sound is heavy and somewhat melancholic, the vocals are strong and boisterous and the powerful melodies explode out of your speakers with tracks like “Poucave”, “Dans La Guelue”, “À Jamais” and “Marginal”, making this EP anything but marginal indeed!

 

So if you liked the band’s demo recordings, you’ll love “À Jamais”! And if you loved Primator Crew’s previous 32 releases, you’ll undoubtedly like Revanche’s latest EP as well! I know I do!
