Sempre Peggio - Anni Buttati

Timebomb Records / Fire And Flames Music / Radio Punk

Nearly four years after the band’s self-titled debut LP, the boys from Milan, Italy - Sempre Peggio that is - are back with a brand new EP for Timebomb Records, Fire And Flames Music and Radio Punk! Carrying the title “Anni Buttati”, the 7” features four new, hard-hitting tracks on either black or yellow wax!

Kicking off hard and powerful with “Malelingue”, Sempre Peggio immediately sets the tone for the rest of this EP. Strong, tight anthems with killer melodies and massive back-up vocals follow each other up in a rapid pace, giving you no time to rest with boisterous scorchers like the aforementioned opener, “Rinnegato Oi!”, “Risveglio” and “Senza Freni”.

Now where all lyrics and most of the music was written by the Italians themselves, the latter is actually a take on Blondie’s “Dreaming” - except a little more muscular, obviously. Another fun fact is that the A-side plays at 45 RPM and in case you were wondering why the B-side sounded like The Chipmunks, it indeed plays at 33 RPM. But aside the speed of rotations, both sides are excellent nonetheless!

I am not aware of the pressing info (or I might have lost it), but as said - this record comes in either black or yellow wax, housed in a thin, though carton, sleeve. The lyric sheet has some body to it though and contains all lyrics (all in Italian of course, so you still wouldn’t understand them), some photo’s and the usual info. Great 7”!
