Straight out of New York City, USA comes Shaved For Battle – an all new pack of bald headed thugs that came to wreck everything, ruin your life and then some! This band instantly made a name of themselves when they released their demo through Bandcamp last Summer and now – thanks to Clockwork Punk (Russia) and Liberty Or Death Records (USA) - “Demo 2021” is finally out on cassette as well.

 

That’s the good news. The bad news is that the first run, of 60 hand-numbered copies, sold out in a heartbeat! Now I’m not sure if there’s ever going to be a second run, or perhaps – and even better – a vinyl version of this four-track powerhouse, but since it kicks ass there definitely should be!

 

Now musically Shaved For Battle delivers the goods vile, violent and in your face. The mid-paced songs and mean vocals undoubtedly remind me of Forced Reality from time to time, so despite that these New Yorkers are the self-proclaimed ‘new breed’ of American Oi! (given the title of opening track “New Breed”), they do know how to rock that late 80’s/early 90’s sound and attitude and they do it with style!
