Ready for some South American Oi!? Well, you better be! Because for the second volume of “We Will Never Be Divided”, a joint series brought to you by Oi! The Nische Records and Steeltown Records – the labels gathered two exotic bands from below the equator, namely Sindicato Oi! and Bootboys!

 

Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil – Sindicato Oi! is up first. Now you might know these guys from the variety of releases the band (mainly) released through The Firm Records and Rotten Records, or the vinyl edition of their debut full-length “Pela Glória Das Ruas” on KB Records. Also both songs featured on this split – “Pela Glória Das Ruas and the Symarip cover “Skinhead Girl” – are taken from their debut album, so unfortunately the A-side doesn’t deliver anything new, at least to me. Still a killer band though, who just released a brand new mini-CD entitled “Batalha Constante”, so give these Brazilians a go!

 

On the flipside you do find some unreleased - though not new - tracks by Bootboys from Chile. Formed in 2011, the band released two EP’s prior to this split through Poink Records and Contra Records – in 2012 and 2013 – but have been radio silent ever since. Until now obviously, because with the songs “Futbol & Cerveza” and “Nunca Vamos A Cambiar” the Chileans are back with a vengeance, delivering two catchy, hard rockin’ powerhouses that definitely taste like more! So let’s hope their next release won’t take half a decade... Okay? Okay.

 

300 copies pressed on black wax, hand numbered and comes with a little download card so you don’t have to flip this 7” over and over again – love it!
