Straight out of the Potato State comes Spirit 86, a brand new pack of young guns shredding out some fast and violent noise – skinhead style! The band unleashed its first digital demo – also known as the “Never Alone” EP – earlier this year through Bandcamp, and now – nearly half a year later – it’s finally available on cassette, thanks to Subculture For Life!

 

Now it didn’t took Subculture For Life five months to realize they had to release this bad boy, nor is the turnaround time for a run of 100 cassettes that long (last time I checked), but the reason of the delay is one simple yet terrifying word – customs! Customs can be a real pain in the ass and you guessed it already, they were a royal pain in the ass on the parcel that contained these Spirit 86 tapes and causing this massive delay!

 

But they’re here now and in case you missed this release on Bandcamp, Spotify or another streaming service, this kicks ass! Busting out hardcore influenced American Oi!, Spirit 86 puts in the boot with some fast and vile tracks, delivering that old school vibe in 2022! From “Intro Bust” to “Hatred” the boys from Idaho come in wrecking and definitely leave you hungry for more!

 

So let’s hope this cassette gives them a nice deal to do something on vinyl, because this sounds very promising indeed! If you have a tape-deck get this ten-minute scorcher!
