Suspect Parts - Where The Hell Is Chris Bongers?

Tape Or Die

Suspect Parts’ “Where The Hell Is Chris Bongers?” is the latest cassette by one of our favorite DIY (DIY in the truest essence possible) labels Tape Or Die! Released in support of the Suspect Parts’ recent European tour, our Berlin friends reissued the “?!” cassette, originally released by Seattle’s GGNZLA Records, last month, but with a Tape Or Die twist of course!

Because besides putting the eight apocalyptic power pop songs in the right, chronical order (“Where The Hell Is Chris Bongers?” is a collection of the band’s EP’s, released between 2008 and 2010), this release received the usual love and care you would expect from Tape Or Die! With self-designed and printed sleeves and of course the label’s, trademark, spray painted cassettes!

Now packaging is only half the deal of course, but I can tell you there is nothing wrong with the tunes, brought to you by (ex-)members of The Briefs, Clorox Girls, Red Dons, Maniac etc…, either! A powerful and catchy sound is what you get on “Where The Hell Is Chris Bongers?”, whether it be the dreamy, 50’s rock ‘n’ roll influenced “Then He Kissed Me” or The Vicious (Sweden) inspired powerhouse “17 Television”, it is all here on this little cassette!

Already the 25th release by Tape Or Die and yet another tape to die for! Really curious what the next one, after the upcoming Seaside Rebels cassette, might be! From what I have heard it might be something French… Ohlala!
