“Punks Forever… …Forever Punks!” is the brand new cassette release of your favorite US pogo punx The Bad Engrish! Although it is a brand new release it was actually recorded in 2011/2012, but it never saw the light of day because shortly after the recordings bass player 180 Bram left the band only to leave this 12 track album laying on the shelves in the studio despite the fact that the band is still alive and kickin’ in 2014!

 

But luckily enough German ‘cassettelabel’ Tape Or Die is bringing you the unreleased album in a limited run of (just) 100 cassettes (already sold out, but a second press is coming) and I am glad they did! Because this tape brings back memories to the days bands like early Casualties, Blanks ’77, Discocks and Funeral Dress were working overtime on my stereo with a great mix of pogo punk, streetpunk and Oi! music.

 

As said, “Punks Forever… …Forever Punks” contains 12 previously unreleased tracks, but kicks off with “Oi! Is…”, a song that was previously only available on vinyl in the “Voi!ce Of America” compilation series (volume 2), which make this a tape with a total of 13 songs. Another song you might know, if you never saw the band live that is, is the track “Fish n’ Chips” that has a official video on YouTube, great and fun song to listen to just like the remaining 11 such as “Oi!’s Not Dead”, “Pogo Power”, “U Hate Me”, “True Breed” and “People Change”.
