After several full-length CD’s, Polish label Bad Look Records finally unleashed a big slab of 12” wax again! Risky, as it is a debut LP, but The DamNation from Warsaw, Poland – featuring members of Criminal Tango, Nancy Regan, Rana Kluta and more – definitely rip it up on their first album “By Choice”!

 

Delivering ferocious hardcore-punk with a bit of a crusty/thrashy edge, The DamNation rages through nine songs on “By Choice”! Fast, loud and raw scorchers are mixed with even faster, louder and rawer tracks, providing the perfect soundtrack for fans of bands such as The Casualties, Defiance and The Unseen – good stuff and a pleasant surprise indeed!

 

Because besides the rapid pace of tracks such as “All The Things That You Need”, “Full Of Fear”, “Troops Of Tomorrow” (nope, not a cover), “Stand In Line” and “New World Order”, there’s also room for a bit of melody – thanks to the two guitar players. Definitely one of my favorite Bad Look Records’ releases to date!

 

Packed in a heavy sleeve with some sick artwork, my copy came on red vinyl with white splatter (50 copies made), while the remaining 250 copies were pressed on black vinyl. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Tribal War, Punkcore and Charged Records kind of noise!
