The Young Ones are at it... again! Only a year after their ‘comeback’ EP “Our Nose In Their Business”, the Dutch lads are back with “Greatest Hits Vol. II” – an all new, six track 10” for Contra Records and undoubtedly their best work to date!

 

Straight from the kick-off, which is actually titled “The Kick Off”, the boys from the south of The Netherlands deliver their boisterous, highly contagious sound – which is extremely fun to listen to! Now you can act cool and try to ignore all the Cockney Rejects influences, but they are so obvious that it would be silly not to. Because everything, from the album’s title to the vocals – and all in between – breathes the mighty Rejects, and I am loving it!

 

Because despite that all songs are (most likely) well thought out, they all sound extremely spontaneous and you can hear that these guys had a hell of a good time recording them! Unleashing hit after hit with “The Kick Off”, “The Boys Are Here”, “Frape Nights”, “Shitter”, “Stunning Cunt” and “The Liquidator”, “Greatest Hits Vol. II” is a 10” full of catchy sing-alongs for a lot of wasted nights to come! Fairly brilliant!

 

If you love that classic sound, The Young Ones’ “Greatest Hits Vol. II” is an absolute no-brainer! Once one of the youngest bands in Oi! music, now one of the better – thanks to this killer 10” for Contra Records!
