Tyrant – S/T
Rebellion Records
It’s been well over five years since Danish powerhouse Tyrant – featuring members of Night Fever, Cesspool and Red Dons – came, saw and conquered with its killer debut EP for Adult Crash! With just 300 copies pressed the band’s debut sold out instantly and only left me – and undoubtedly a ton of other people – hungry for more! Well, more is finally here and it’s ridiculously good!
Released in Europe by Rebellion Records (more on the US edition later), Tyrant’s sophomore EP – which is also self -or untitled (as you wish) alike their debut – is an absolute knock-out punch from start to finish! Four tracks strong, the Danes’ latest slab of wax is nothing short of sheer power and primal rage, fumed out over a heavy, bass-driven wall of sound that will surely break some jaws and crack some skulls along the road!
All collateral damage if you ask me. Because when the music gets vile and mean, people tend to get vile and mean as well and that is exactly what this record initiates! “Degenerate”, “My Right”, “Makes Me Sick” and “Yes Sir” are barbaric scorchers to boot and easily outdraw every single track of Tyrant’s debut, which was massive to begin with!
So if you loved Tyrant’s debut, you’ll be blown away by this little EP! Making it an absolute must-have that is either available on ultra clear (150 copies) or black vinyl (350 copies) through Rebellion Records in Europe, while TKO Records will combine both EP’s on one 12” for the US market later on!
