Ultra Razzia / Dead Hero - A.L.R.D.M.M. / Todo O Nada

Primator Crew

And all of a sudden the mailman dropped - potentially - the best split LP of 2020 in my mailbox! Quite a surprise as well, because despite the fact that I knew it was going to be released - I didn’t realize it was already pressed and ready to be delivered to me! The split LP in question? It’s between Ultra Razzia and Dead Hero, soon to be released by Primator Crew!

All it took was a demo for the Canadians of Ultra Razzia to became an instant force to be reckoned with! The band instantly impressed and with the full-length that followed in 2018 they delivered one of the best records of that very year. Now the lads from Montreal have returned with six new, brilliantly sounding tracks for their cut of this split LP entitled “A.L.R.D.M.M.” and all I can say is - be prepared to get your mind blown! Undoubtedly this band - featuring a hefty amount of (ex-)The Prowlers members - did an amazing job and most definitely delivered their best work to date with “A.L.R.D.M.M.”, “Perte Totale”, “Les Lignes Blanches”, “Les Boulevards”, “Nos Chemins” and the absolutely mental “Les Fumiers” (though the label says “En Vain”) - sick, and an absolute must for fans of French Oi! music!

Another band that instantly caught my attention with its first demo was Colombia’s Dead Hero - though they really knocked me out of my New Balance’s with an amazing split 12” released in that very same year - 2015 - with Secta! A full-length, called “La Vida Continua”, followed in 2017 and now the Colombian-Canadian outfit is back with three blistering new tracks - “Todo O Nada”, “Falsas Promesas”, “Ocultando La Realidad” - and a superb cover of Blitz’ “Solar”, all in Spanish obviously! Vocalist Paula is as always on top of their game and besides the cover, you can tell by Dead Hero’s sound that they are really into Derbyshire legends! Fairly brilliant and I am glad these guys are still around with their classic sounding, yet refreshing music!

Besides the music, the packaging of this release is incredible as well. Both bands were able to use their own cover artwork on their side of the sleeve and with the spines printed on both ends, you can either chose to file it under the D or under the U in your collection. Besides that, this release also comes with a variety of inserts (a fold-out, double sided insert for Ultra Razzia, a half-sized, double sided insert for Dead Hero and another thick and oversized, double sided card for Ultra Razzia) - making this release a lust for both the ears and the eyes! I told you this is potentially the best split LP of 2020, right? Right - now make sure to secure a copy once this is released!
