La Nostra Força

 

Established by Reconquesta vocalist and guitarist Guillem, La Nostra Força is a brand new label that simultaneously released two massive releases during the summer (of 2022)! One being the debut LP of Barcelona’s smashing new outfit Dying Breed, and the other being the record that carries catalog number 001 – the “La Nostra Força” compilation!

 

Featuring four bands (performing two songs each), you could easily speak of a four-way split LP as well, but it’s an absolute must-have either way! Sure Catalonia has a lot to offer when it comes down to killer bands, but four of the most vile, dangerous sounding bands of the region are definitely on this compilation, namely Dying Breed, Exili, Fightback (BCN) and of course Reconquesta themselves!

 

All eight songs were recorded in the same studio and under the same circumstances. Not only is this quite unique to begin with, it also gives “La Nostra Força” the vibe of an actual album instead of a selection of songs compiled together. Along with the fact that bands either share members or make guest appearances on each other’s tracks make this record a real family affair, brought with nothing but sheer power!

 

Because of this there is not one weak band or song on this LP. Of course I have my favorites (hello “Contra El Món Modern” by Exili featuring Ramon of Dying Breed), but all songs – which are all sung in Catalan – are off the fuckin’ wall and ridiculously good! All of this barely lasts twenty minutes and comes scorching out of your speakers at 45RPM, but it’s an absolute powerhouse from the front to the back, making “ La Nostra Força” an absolute must for those who love barbaric and glorious Oi!
