Vis Vires/Lvger – Split Single

It’s time for another clash between East and West with two true American powerhouses, Vis Vires from Los Angeles and Lvger from New York City! This bout, brought to you by Contra Records, Mister Face Records and The Firm Records, is exclusively for the first 500 people who buy their vinyl on either black (100 copies), white swirl marbled (200 copies) or silver swirl marbled (200 copies) wax and I can promise you, it’s going to be spectacular! So without further ado… let’s rock!

 

First up is Vis Vires, also known as the wrecking machine from California! This band has been slamming out killer releases since day one and this isn’t their first rodeo when it comes down to split releases! In 2019 and 2020 the band already released split EP’s with respectively Kaleko Urdangak and Ultra Sect and both releases were off the fuckin’ wall! As this band only seems to get better, heavier and stronger with every record they put out, you can only imagine what their contribution to this split single – titled “Battles” - sounds like! Still one of my favorite bands that emerged in the last five or so years and this track affirms that!

 

Traveling all the way to New York City you’ll find the mighty Lvger on the flipside! This band blew me away with their self-titled 12” from 2019 and debut LP “Fvll Villain” in 2020, and although I missed last year’s “Feel No Pain” single, I had no doubt that their song for this single – titled “Break Into Hell” - would kick some major ass! Breaking in and out of all layers of hell and beyond, Lvger’s inferno strikes once again with that threatening, hardrock’n’roll sound that I love!

 

The only downside however is… that it’s just a single, with just two songs! Other than that this is a massive release and an absolute must in my book!
